OPEN POSITION: INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMMING SPECIALIST
START DATE: 2025-2026 school year
STARTING SALARY: starting at $23.93 hourly
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Instructional Programming Specialist works collaboratively with the Academics and Technology Departments to ensure the seamless operation of educational technology systems within the district. This role is essential for providing technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination to install software, modify and repair hardware, and resolve technical issues. The Specialist serves as the primary contact for all academic software and instructional hardware, ensuring smooth integration, support, and effective utilization in classrooms. With a strong focus on service continuity and user support, the Instructional Programming Specialist contributes to the success of district-wide projects and programs, while working closely with vendors and third-party partners. The Instructional Programming Specialist works within a team environment to support the various technological needs of the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Requirements: High school diploma required. Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience Requirements: A minimum of three years of experience in technology services, preferably in an educational setting, is required.
- Certifications: A+ and Network+ certifications preferred.
- Preferred Experience: Experience with Google Workspace and Apple School Manager is preferred.
- Skills and Proficiencies: Proficient skills in Google Workspace and Apple School Manager are essential.
- Equivalent Experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
