PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Curriculum and Instruction Facilitator will provide leadership and expertise in curriculum development, instructional practices, and professional development across the District. The facilitator will lead the design and implementation of high-quality professional development, utilize data to enhance student achievement, and promote effective instructional practices. They will guide curriculum development using the Understanding by Design framework, support the Professional Learning Communities model, and ensure alignment with MSIP standards. Strong collaboration with LCR3 Instructional Coaches and teacher leaders, along with expertise in resource selection and research-based practices, is essential. The facilitator will also coordinate training, organize professional learning, and maintain curriculum documentation to support continuous improvement throughout the District.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Requirements: Master’s Degree or equivalent in curriculum development, education, or a related field, with extensive coursework and experience in curriculum revision and development is required.
- Teaching Experience: A minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Certification: Valid Missouri teaching certificate required.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in curriculum design, instruction, and professional development within a school district is preferred.
- Relevant Coursework/Training: Completion of relevant coursework or training in instructional strategies, curriculum development, and education leadership is preferred.
- Equivalent Experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
