OPEN POSITION:         P.A.T. Parent Educator (P/T) – Early Childhood Education Center
 
START DATE:               Immediately
 
PAY RATE:                    $17.77- starting rate, commensurate on degree
 
PRIMARY FUNCTION:        Promotes early learning and the health of children by supporting and encouraging their parents/caregivers.  Documents details of each visit, assessment, screening and provides follow up resources.  Develops and maintains a current community resource network system that includes all necessary information to link families to identified supports and services as needed.  Afternoons, evenings and weekends may be necessary.  This is approximately a 20 hour a week position. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Parents as Teachers National Certification, preferred but not required
• Required continuing education to maintain certification
• Trained in Foundational 1 and 2 Curriculum, preferred but not required
• BA Degree in Early Childhood or related field or 60 college hours in Early Childhood or related field and at least two years’ experience working with young children and families
• Effective oral and written communication skills
