OPEN POSITIONS:           2024 Summer School Teacher – Secondary – Film As Literature

POSITION SALARY:          $28.00/hour (Teachers who sign up for and complete ALL 20 days will be paid $29.00/hour)

 

 
COURSE DESCRIPTION:     

 

Students will read about the history of film, the reflection or influence of film on the culture, and issues of interpretation, production, and adaptation. Students will examine the visual interpretation of literary techniques and the limitations or special capacities of film versus text to present a literary work.  NOTE: This course does not replace a Core ELA requirement) This course will give students the opportunity to earn a .5 unit of english credit.

                                     
QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Missouri State Teacher Certification in – English
• Teaching experience
  
• All positions are contingent upon enrollment #'s
• All positions will be using the time clock. 
• Teachers will work on the PD scheduled for Friday, May 31st
